This post may seem a bit insensitive to victims of mass shootings, victims of homicide, and even families connected to individual suicide commits. So before I go any further into this blog let me start by saying that no man without legal justification has the right to take a life; and you do matter to someone, whether you think so or not, you do! Loss is never an easy situation. Outside of suicide commits and negligent discharges (that could have been prevented) when it comes to illogical, hateful, and meaningless death…the second amendment was in place for these specific moments.
“A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” This is how the second amendment reads. As of today, we live in a world that allows for anti gun protesters and politicians to fight for gun bans and more, yet very few of them have ever read this amendment in its totality. Whats worse about these people is…they use the situations of today to analyze the mentality of the English settlers back in 1791. Clearly mental health is more of an issue than I thought…go figure.
The lack of sound opinions regarding this issue is laughable in the worse way. To tell someone that they have no right to protect their own life, that is what your local law enforcement is here for is lunacy. One of the points that is made a lot is…how fast criminals are able to kill with an AR-15. That’s one side of the argument. That same statement if used on the other side, brings a different dynamic to the story in a more positive way.
These arguments that continue to be made can be put into two categories. 1. being the mane category of “Ignorance”. Sadly a lot of people have been on the wrong side of situations, which causes them to think “if there was no gun, there would be no loss”. As wishful thinking as that is…its just not true!! 2. “Stupidity” there really isn’t much to say concerning this category, its self explanatory.
